When you start your career as a driver on Motorsport Rivals, you join a team composed of people from all over the world. At this point, your mission is to overtake the other drivers on your part of the track and help the rest of your team do the same with the other drivers on their part.

The gameplay is pretty simple and is designed so you can enjoy each race in a relaxed way. To overtake the driver in front of you, keep drawing cards until you get the speed and overtaking bonuses you need. From your deck, you can also draw cards for other things like protection against overtaking, extra speed, distance reduction, and experience. However, in order to catch up to the driver ahead of you, you'll need to draw three of a kind. This fun gameplay tests your ability to keep your cool, as each new attack consumes one energy point, and cards are drawn at random.

At the same time, the members of your team can lend you a hand with energy boosts and other slight advantages. In addition, you all compete in the same season, so each team member races one lap against a rival member from another team. This fast-paced Grand Prix pits your driving skills against your opponent's as you fight to secure the lap and score points for your team. Once the season ends, you can move up in the team rankings to face increasingly tougher competitors.
